Welcome to LumeCrew (lumecrew.com, the "Site"), operated by LumeCrew ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or submitting a quote request you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. What LumeCrew is
LumeCrew provides low-voltage wiring and smart-home/commercial technology services (structured cabling, cameras, access control, audio/video, home automation, and related work) for Ohio businesses and homeowners. The installers who perform on-site work are independent, licensed where the trade requires it, and insured.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any brand, manufacturer, or installer named on the Site unless expressly stated.
2. Quote requests are not binding offers
Submitting a quote request form does not create a contract. A project proceeds only after a separate written scope and price is agreed with you. Either party may decline to proceed at any point before that agreement is signed.
3. Cost information is not a binding quote
Any pricing, cost ranges, or cost estimates published on the Site (including on guide or resource pages) are typical market figures provided for general planning purposes only. They are not binding quotes, bids, or offers. Actual project costs vary by scope, location, site conditions, materials, and permitting, and are determined only through a project-specific written quote.
4. Information is provided "as is"; not professional advice
We work to keep information on the Site accurate, but products, codes, regulations, and market conditions change. All content, including guide and resource pages (for example, our Ohio security camera law guide), is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Content on the Site is general information only and is not legal, safety, insurance, or professional advice, and does not create an attorney-client or advisory relationship. Laws, permitting requirements, and code obligations vary by jurisdiction and change over time; verify current requirements with a licensed attorney, your local building or licensing authority, or a qualified professional before relying on them.
5. Your use of the Site
You agree not to misuse the Site, including: submitting false or fraudulent quote requests, interfering with the Site's operation, attempting to gain unauthorized access, scraping at volumes that burden the service, or using the Site to violate any law or third-party right.
6. Our content
The Site's original text, organization, and design are our property. Business names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only for identification.
7. Third-party sites
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; we do not control and are not responsible for their content or practices, and a link is not an endorsement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LumeCrew will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site, any quote request, or any project performed. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred dollars (US $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those, these limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold LumeCrew harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the Site or your violation of these terms, except to the extent caused by our own negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflicts of law, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
